“At OWENDO, I am proud to note that we have managed to create 1,300 jobs for Gabonese people and to equip 4 railway maintenance workshops to handle every type of breakdown in strict compliance with environmental standards. Furthermore, I am pleased to see that 50% of the department heads are women. This shows that we are committed to promoting gender equality and providing economic opportunities for women in Gabon,” said President ALI BONGO ONDIMBA.

RANJAN KUMAR SAHU, Director of the OWENDO MINERAL PORT (OMP), stated: “We are proud of the inauguration of the new railway workshop in the presence of the Presidents of Gabon and Togo. This event represents an important milestone for OMP, as the new workshop will significantly improve the port’s performance by allowing for faster and more efficient loading and unloading of goods, as well as an increased capacity to handle larger shipments.”
